| CARICOOS Wave Buoy (Arecibo, PR): Near- Real Time, Wave Data | Directional wave, sea surface temperature, and air temperature measurements collected in situ by Datawell DWR-M4 directional buoy located near ARECIBO, PUERTO RICO from 2026/03/13 15:00:00 to 2026/07/08 23:00:00. | SWAN model simulation (1 km) for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, 2023-present | Model output from the CARICOOS Nearshore Wave Model, a state of the art wave forecast system based on the Simulating Waves Nearshore (Simulating WAves Nearshore model (SWAN)) spectral wave model. Model is run twice daily on CARICOOS HPC facilites. Only the regional PR-USVI grid is included in this product, however, high-resolution subgrid output is available upon request. Starting with Version 2 in 2012 the model output collection has progressed through several model versions. The latest version, SWAN Version 8, came online on November 30, 2018.
